We are working hard at South Pine Sports Complex to finalise construction of the new soccer facilities. These facilitis which include a High Performance Club House and a Local Club House facility along with 4 new soccer fileds will provide a much welcome addition to the complex. We are sure that after the excitement of the World Cup Soccer recently held in Australia that soccer clubs will be receiving an influx of players.
We are currently closing out works on Griffin Sports Complex and look forward to seeing this facility in full swing. It has been a pleasure again working with Moreton Bay Regional Council and to be able to deliver another high class facility for the community to enjoy. Late last year we were awarded another exciting project with Moreton bay Regional Council at South Pine Sports Complex. This will see the construction of four new soccer fields along with a High Performance Club House and a smaller clubhouse facility. Works here are really starting to take off after the wet weather earlier in the year.
In the last few weeks Main Constructions has been awarded projects by Redland City Council and Gold Coast City Council. Works for Redland City Council involve the replacement of light poles at three public tennis centres and we will also be replacing two basketball towers and a multipurpose goal. Gold Coast City Council have engaged us to undertake design and construction of lighting upgrades at Pizzey Park Rugby. Our Project at Griffin Sports Facility is well and truly underway with the site really starting to take shape. The building has the roof installed and work has commenced on the playing fields. We are looking forward to seeing the end result.
Well the New Year is in full swing and with it has come plenty of rain. The rain is fantastic for all the new turf that has been laid at Nudgee College and Les Hughes Sports Complex. These projects are both coming into the final stages of construction whilst construction at Griffin Sports Facility is ramping up despite the recent weather. We have also been awarded two new projects in the new year. One is Sports field lighting upgrades at 3 locations within the Moreton Bay Regional Council area and the second is goal upgrades to various sites for Redland City Council whom we are excited to be working with again.
We are excited to be embarking on a new project in conjunction with Moreton Bay Regional Council after being awarded the contract for Griffin Sports Complex. This project involves the construction of a new Rugby facility including fields and a clubhouse on a greenfield site. Works at Les Hughes Sports Complex and St Joseph’s Nudgee College are well underway and our staff are doing a tremendous job at these sites. This year has been full of uncertainty and Main Constuctions is grateful that it has been able to continue to operate and provide stable employment for its valued staff.
We are so fortunate to be able to continue strongly as a business throughout these uncertain times. Works are now complete at Nathan Road Sporting Facility and James Drysdale Park Baseball Field. Works are also wrapping up at Bill Brown Reserve with a fantastic facility nearing completion there. We are excited to be commencing upgrade works at the Les Hughes Sports Complex and creating new Sports fields at St Joseph’s Nudgee College. As we speed through 2020, we look forward to continuing our solid relationships with our clients and thank our staff for their dedication and passion for their work.
We are very proud to be nearing the completion of our project at Moreton Bay Central Sports Complex with fantastic initial feedback from the local Soccer clubs. The fields and facilities are immaculate and will provide a first class Soccer venue in the Moreton Council region for years to come. Works also continue at Nathan Road, Kippa-Ring, with the site starting to take shape to facilitate two AFL fields along with car parking, access roads, lighting and irrigation.
This Month we have started works on a new project at Nathan Road, Kippa-Ring. Whilst we are just beginning to establish on site we have been busy in the office preparing the site documentation and commencing the procurement processes. This project involves the construction of two AFL fields along with car parking, access roads, lighting, irrigation and landscaping. The companies fleet of plant has also been upgraded with the purchase of multiple new excavators amongst other items.
The new year has gotten off to a flying start and we are well into February already!! Main Constructions are winding up their works on site at Top Golf and look forward to seeing the finished project once all other Contractors have also completed their works. Works at Moreton Bay Central Sports Complex are well underway with the site starting to take shape now as underground infrastructure installation winds up. This project will be ongoing to another 12 months.

We were pleased to see the first Womens AFL game played at the now complete Southpine AFL facility on the 18th of February. In other exciting news we have been awarded the contract for the construction of the new Soccer Facility at Burpengary which forms Stage 1 of the the new Moreton Bay Central Sports Complex. Works include 3 Senior fields, car parks, internal roads and pathways, field lighting, stormwater management, service infrastructure and landscaping.
Works are progressing well at the Southpine AFL Clubhouse and the finished field is looking great. We have also completed laying the turf at the new sports field at North Ocean Shores and works on the Clubhouse are near lock up stage. Works for an exciting new attraction at Movie World are in the final stages and we are looking forward to seeing this in action.
Works have commenced on the AFL Clubhouse at Southpine with Stage 1 works having been completed. Works are also under way at North Ocean Shores where we were awarded the contract to construct a new soccer field and clubhouse by Byron Shire Council. This is our first project for Byron Shire Council and we look forward to a successful working relationship with them. We are also currently completing other projects for Village Road Show and Moreton Bay Regional Council.
Main Constructions has started the new year off by being awarded the contract to construct the new AFL clubhouse at Southpine Sports Complex. These works will follow on from the construction of the AFL field and associated car parks and access roads which Main Constructions has been undertaking for the past 6 months. We look forward to an exciting 2016.
As 2024 draws to a close we reflect on the year. South Pine Sports Complex Soccer Precinct was completed at the begining of May and we were pleased to hand over a community asset that will be sure to service the community for many years to come. We have also completed some smaller projects during the year and we now look forward towards 2025 with anticipation.
