Project Details:               Main Constructionswas awarded this contract which involved the design and construction of a heavy machinery workshop, single level office and spare parts sales area. The client’s vision was for a modern, open, warm and welcoming entry, display, sales and office space. Whilst wanting to keep the design simple they also wanted the building to have street appeal due to the site’s prominent position. The external spaces needed to include car parking for staff and clients as well as a holding and display area for heavy machinery. Construction of the workshop was undertaken utilising precast concrete panels which were poured on site, structural steel and zincalume roofing. The concrete floor slabs were poured using fibres which allowed for larger concrete pours. Other works included retaining walls, stormwater, earthworks, bio-retention and landscaping.
