Client: Village Roadshow
Project: Top Golf Civil Works
Duration: January 2017 – February 2018
Project Value: $7,490,000
Project Details: Village Roadshow have embarked on another major project involving the construction of a golf driving range situated between Movie World and White Water World on the Gold Coast. Main Constructions was the successful tenderer to undertake the Bulk Earthworks and Civil Engineering Works for the project. The scope of works undertaken included clearing of the site, stormwater construction, trenching for services, underground tanks, construction of the building pad, block retaining walls and roadworks including carpark construction. Stormwater construction included digging up and re-using existing pipes from site which included inspection and repairs to these pipes. The challenge faced during this process was the unknown quantity of pipes that would be suitable for re-use meaning procurement of any additional pipes required could not be ascertained until all existing pipes had been excavated. Further stormwater works included concrete culverts and channels including construction of suspended slabs, manholes, inlets and catchpits, trench drain and headwalls and aprons. Other works included bored piers for the barrier poles and tilt panels and footings for the ball net. For these works Main Constructions utilised the specialised services of Civil Group (Aust) Pty Ltd working closely together to achieve the desired outcomes within the timeframe required.
We are working hard at South Pine Sports Complex to finalise construction of the new soccer facilities. These facilities which include a High Performance Club House and a Local Club House facility along with 4 new soccer fields will provide a much welcome addition to the complex. We are sure that after the excitement of the World Cup Soccer recently held in Australia that soccer clubs will be receiving an influx of players.
